| Proceeds
from Promissory Auction
Friday 17th November 2006
We held our Auction of Promises on Friday 17th and it was
everything we ever dreamt it might be and more.
A fantastic selection of promises were on offer.
In financial terms alone it was a staggering success with
over £6,000 raised from the auction and a further
£2000 raised from donations from those who were unable
to attend and ‘rounded up’ cheques. The current
total of nearly £8,500 will keep us going as a club,
financially, for many years to come. It is as simple as
that.
A
packed village hall ensured the nights success.
However, it was not just about the money, as the support
we had was overwhelming and the evening itself was a real
fun event with a great mixture of new mini rugby parents
and old friends.
Our professional auctioneer Ronnie Skea raises both
smiles and the bids.
I would like to say a big thank you to all those who helped
on the night (especially the Auctioneer), those who donated
promises and money, and of course those who bought the promises.

Club president Adam White gives a vote of thanks.
